RADIAL SERIES

Laser cut from birch plywood. Both the artwork and the pattern were computer generated.
Jesse used teh laster to sign the puzzle along with the artist's name. There are four figure pieces: a microscope and three assorted microbes.

 Ron is one of the few cutters who uses a pattern to hand cut his puzzles. Combined with wonderful artwork, they are devilish and delightful. Cut from birch plywood.

Cut from mahogany plywood, this 3d puzzle uses a "monkey fist" know to allow it to be assembled in different way. ​The ground pieces are not yet assembled properly! But the space for the people to stand are all set.

EXCHANGING FLOWERS

This puzzle won Best in Show in 2012.

This puzzle can be put together as a single puzzle, shown above, a double layered puzzle, or as two separate puzzles.
When the puzzle is ​assembled this way one can see the different sections. Note that instead of double cutting, the interlocks, with knobs shaped like leaves, provide the means to assemble multiply ways. ​The puzzle was cut from 5 ply with a mahogany veneer that is finished with tung oil and shellac for a smooth feel and lustrous color.

Instead of signing the back of the piece, a good trick for double-sided puzzles is to sign the edge.

The different layers show clearly with their different backings. Note that unlike most layered puzzles, the layers of the "anchor" pieces do not align. The puzzle was cut from pine plywood
Unlike most layered puzzles, which simple glue the layers first and cut a multilayered interlocking piece, Terry has cut the layers separately then attached them.
