The Armstrong Educational Grant
The Armstrong Educational Grant Program is named in honor of Bob Armstrong, one of the Parley's co-founders and chair or co-chair of all past Parleys. Bob's extensive website (www.oldpuzzles.com), various talks, and workshops at previous Parleys have all been a strong source of information to puzzlers, collectors, and restorers alike. His vision has made Parley meetings a unique source of ideas, information, and of course wonderful puzzles.
Goals
The Armstrong Educational Grant Program is proud to financially support puzzle cutters and makers, collectors and enthusiasts planning to attend Puzzle Parley 2026. The grant can be used to further expand the knowledge and expertise of an individual new to the field, or for an individual who will further enhance the Puzzle Parley Program.
Grant Amounts and Criteria
Grant recipients may use awards for Parley registration, hotel or housing, or travel expenses. The committee will do its best to support as many applicants as possible with full or partial awards of the amount requested.
The criteria for a successful grant application will include financial need, the puzzle experience level of the applicant and the relevance of any proposed future educational program or workshop, if applicable.
Grant applications must be submitted on or before June 1, 2026. The Armstrong Educational Grant Committee will review applications. Notification will be sent via email and by letter on June 15, 2026.

- Making a Parley presentation at this or a future Puzzle Parley
- Volunteering to take on an organizational task for the Parley
- Donating wood puzzles to the Parley raffle or the Parley’s own sales table (either new if you are a puzzle maker, or old if you are a collector or enthusiast)
